Type of ringing

Individually numbered metal-rings from Zoologisk Museum, Copenhagen.

The birds also display a combination of two colour-rings registered in the International Wader Study Group Colour Ringing Register.

In Greenland is used green leg flags between the colour-rings on left leg, but sanderlings with another position of the flag are ringed in Europe or Africa.

You will receive a complete life history from the bird within a week from reporting. If possible please send a photo of the bird from Greenland.
